چکیده

We have measured the branching fraction and photon energy spectrum for the radiative penguin process b → sγ. We find B(b → sγ) = (3.21 ± 0.43 ± 0.27 −0.10) × 10 , where the errors are statistical, systematic, and from theory corrections. We obtain first and second moments of the photon energy spectrum above 2.0 GeV, 〈Eγ〉 = 2.346± 0.032± 0.011 GeV, and 〈E γ〉−〈Eγ〉 2 = 0.0226±0.0066±0.0020 GeV, where the errors are statistical and systematic. From the first moment we obtain (in MS, to order 1/M and β0α 2 s) the HQET parameter Λ̄ = 0.35 ± 0.08 ± 0.10 GeV.

We have searched for two-body charmless hadronic decays of B mesons. Final states include ππ, Kπ, and KK with both charged and neutral kaons and pions; πρ, Kρ, and Kπ; and Kφ, Kφ, and φφ. The data used in this analysis consist of 2.6 million BB̄ pairs produced at the Υ(4S) taken with the CLEO-II detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring (CESR). We measure the branching fraction of the sum of...

We have measured the charge asymmetry in like-sign dilepton yields from BB̄ meson decays using the CLEO detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring. We find all ≡ [N(l l)−N(ll)] / [N(ll) +N(ll)] = +0.013 ± 0.050 ± 0.005. We combine this result with a previous, independent measurement and obtain Re(ǫB)/(1+ |ǫB | ) = +0.0035±0.0103±0.0015 (uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respective...

The CLEO-c research program will include studies of leptonic, semileptonic and hadronic charm decays, searches for exotic and gluonic matter, and test for physics beyond the Standard Model. The experiment and the CESR accelerator were modified to efficiently operate at center-of-mass energies between 3 and 5 GeV. Data at the ψ(3770) resonance were recorded with the CLEO-c detector in September ...
